WATER PROOFING

The objective of Waterproofing is to resist the ingress of water under specified conditions possibly under pressure, humidity, water vapour or dampness.

Waterproofing is done to building structures; Substructure (Basement, Foundations etc.), Wet Areas (Bathrooms, Kitchens, Garbage rooms etc.) Roofing (Open terraces, balconies etc.)

Substructure

Structural and foundation waterproofing, including above- and below-grade waterproofing, is a critically important component of any commercial building structure. Depending on its application, below-grade waterproofing could be pre-applied or post-applied.

Post-applied below grade waterproofing needs to be well-adhered and sealed to the structure, providing flexibility to accommodate structural movements. Above grade waterproofing installation can be an arduous task due to curves, corners, complex shapes and geometries, requiring a reliable waterproofing membrane. .

Wet Areas

Waterproofing system used in wet areas and non-exposed situations subject to constantly wet Environments are to be waterproofed with compatible materials. Generally used waterproofing materials include bituminous membrane, Liquid applied waterproofing systems such as Rubberised Bitumen, Poly Urethane Coatings, Cementitious products etc.

Roofing

The roofing of Buildings, villas, warehouses etc. must be waterproofed to give resistance against rain, air and vapour intrusion or leakages from such conditions to protect the structural Integrity of the buildings and at the same time be vapour resistant.
